3rd party integration

"Normal" integration with your web & application server

For a "normal" Custom Application integration you only need a web application server which is set-up in your existing data center. Your web application has to deliver BiscuitML which is used as interface between your infrastructure and the Netbiscuits API and can be created in PHP, JSP, .NET or other scripting languages. The communication between your web application servers with database servers, Content Management Systems, Media Servers etc. remains in your data centers. You keep control and let Netbiscuits handle the optimal mobile website rendering and device management for you.

3rd party integration

Integrate with Netbiscuits using a 3rd party provider

Sometimes Netbiscuits customers require to run their mobile web application in their own data centers, but need to connect it to a backend hosted by a third party which has a customer relationship with the Netbiscuits customer. The 3rd party approach is often used by Netbiscuits customers working for different brands. Netbiscuits can be integrated in such an environment easily as well. In this scenario the Netbiscuits customer hosts the mobile web application in his own data center, connects it to the Netbiscuits API and also to the backend-system of the third party.

Netbiscuits provides flexible interfaces to connect to common back-end systems such as CMS, Databases, Public APIs, Ad Servers, but also proprietary systems. In this scenario the Netbiscuits customer will create a custom application template, which outputs BiscuitML markup language directly from within its Content Management System or backend system. Often Netbiscuits customers try to deliver mobile outputs by simply generating a basic HTML or xHTML output, which is not sufficient to achieve acceptable results on most handsets. This can easily be improved by switching to BiscuitsML, which is easy to learn for any developer and enhances the output quality drastically.
